i got an hp pavillion sg3420la, with vista home premium and it’s loaded with hp total care advisor, hp games, hp udpdate, hp customer service enhancements, can i uninstall them? are they required to run vista?

I own a HP Laptop (tx2530ea with Vista Home Premium), which I must say is terrible, especially bundled with their ‘HP Total Care’.

I have had problem after problem, and would like to re-install a clean install, without any of their software, so I can manually do it.

I don’t want to pay anything, but want a working laptop!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have lots of data I need to burn to DVDs, too many for CDs. I’m having LOTS of problems burning Data DVDs. I’m able to burn them on another computer, so the DVDs are OK, but for some reason they aren’t burning right on this computer.

The computer is a pretty new HP with Vista Home Premium.

What software would you recommend - I don’t care if it’s free or not. I NEED something consistently reliable and preferably fast.
