Looking for a Video Editing Software?

I am looking for a software that I can download from online that could allow me to edit my videos. I am looking for something with good editing tools, but ideally nothing too confusing. I am very impressed what I see in imovie ‘09, but I do not have a Mac, nor do I care to pay 80 bucks for a package deal. Something cheaper would be preferred, and something that works with Windows Vista Home Premium. I would like to be able to cut video footage, add stills and play with sound. Any suggestions?

First and foremost there is Windows Movie Maker. It is free. It will definitely work with your OS. So I would start there. But many find its usefulness wears out quickly because its not very robust.
After that I would try something like Video Spin or Jump Cut. Either of those might work for you as well. Both are free and more robust than WMM. But are they quite enough for you? I’m not sure, but at the price, its worth checking out and trying.
Lastly, I would check out AVS Video Editor. I believe it has a free trial you can check out (not sure if its only 30 days or if it will always work but be crippled. It is often recommended around the Yahoo! forum here, so I would give it a look too.
You may try AVS Video Editor, it’s a nice video editor that can help you edit, join, trim, crop, convert and cut video, my friends recommend it to me, it’s easy to use and works pretty well for me, it embeds many special effects. I had made a video with it and the video got award, that’s pretty cool. And here is the free download link
Hope it helps. Contact me if you have any other question or use to search more answers.
